Maybe I'll use the extra features and maybe I won't, but it was just a little more than the S1 and a better value for the upgrade price. I was really confused about choosing which one and decided to go with the Spectra with the most features. I don't have any experience with using any pumps yet, but I chose to upgrade to the Spectra Synergy Gold. Does anyone want to share positive stories about these models, or give suggestions? Or should I just roll a dice and pick at random? I don't have much freezer space and the bags seem a bit more conservative on space.Įven with all that in mind, I can't get enough brain cells together to actually pick one of these pumps. I might prefer a model that pumps into disposable bags rather than bottles. These are all compatible with the PumpinPal silicone flanges, which I frequently see suggested for large breasts. I have large breasts but tiny nipples, so I need smaller flanges to be available. These all seem portable, so no big deal there? I don't necessarily need it to be portable, but it would be nice. However, I know breastfeeding might not work out, so I still want a good model just in case I am relying on it much more. The pump would be for rare times when I'm away from baby, or pumping to store milk so mom can still party sometimes. I'm going to be at home with baby at least the first 6 months, and want to primarily breast feed, so the pump isn't intended to be essential. These are the four models covered by my insurance. They all seem really similar and I can't figure out which one is "the best one"? I need to get it ordered, in case it takes a while to show up or there is some other complication. Almost 36 weeks and having analysis paralysis about which breast pump to choose.
